The Denver Nuggets advanced to their 1st NBA Finals in team history after finishing off a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers 113-111:

Star duo Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray led the Nuggets to their first ever playoff series sweep and Conference Final title in the 47 year history of the franchise. Jokic earned a record breaking eighth triple double in this year’s playoffs. He broke a mark previously set by NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain in the 1967 season. Jokic totaled 30 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists. Murray had 25 points in the game. The Denver Nuggets erased a 73-58 halftime deficit and outplayed the Lakers in the second half.  Denver was able to overcome an amazing 31-point performance in the first half by LeBron James. Florida Panthers outlasts the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1’s 4 OT marathon 3-2:

To get to the Eastern Conference Final, the Florida Panthers had to beat the mighty Boston Bruins and the talented Toronto Maple Leafs. The Panthers upset the record setting Bruins in a wild seven-game series. Florida had a much easier time against the Maple Leafs as they defeated them in five games.  The first game of the Eastern Conference Final was an exhilarating back and forth affair. It was the 6th longest game in NHL history. Hurricanes Center Seth Jarvis got his team on the board first just before the 1st period expired. Anthony Rizzo blasts two Home Runs on his Star Wars Mandalorian Bobblehead Night, as the Yankees come from behind to beat the Rays 6-5:

This is the Way! Anthony Rizzo had better check out the Mandalorian TV series after his amazing performance on Friday night. Rizzo tied up the score in the 1st with his first Home Run.  Rays’ slugger Randy Arozarena had given the Rays an early lead with a Home Run of his own. This game featured a few lead changes and plenty of power. Yankees rookie Shortstop Anthony Volpe had a big night as well. Volpe shot a Home Run out to the opposite field in the 5th. Devils Vs. Hurricanes Game 3

The New Jersey Devils bounce back in big way in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals againstthe Carolina Hurricanes 8-4:The series against the Hurricanes started off in a similar fashion to the Rangers series. New Jersey dugitself another 0-2 hole to start a playoff series.Game 3, however, was a different story entirely. The Devils jumped out to a 4-0 lead as the secondperiod got underway. New Jersey’s stars got back on track as Timo Meier notched his 1 st goal of theplayoffs. Devils take pivotal game 5 against the Rangers

The Devils had all the momentum going into game 5 as they evened up the series at MSG. New Jersey flipped the script against New York on their home ice after getting embarrassed at home.Game 5 started out with a bang as New Jersey wasted no time striking first. Thirty-nine seconds into the game, Ondrej Palat buried his 50th career postseason goal in the back of the net. It was Palat’s second goal of the series. The former Tampa Bay Lightning superstar has made an immediate impact on this young Devils squad in his first year with the team.
