Archers prevail in a barn burner against the defending champions Waterdogs 19-18:

The Waterdogs and Archers faced off in a battle of two teams tied for first place. The 1st quarter was a wild one as the top squads combined to score the most points in an opening frame this season. Both teams certainly did not disappoint in living up to the hype in this game. The teams were very evenly matched. This contest featured a whopping seven ties between these two elite squads. The combined score in this matchup matched the highest point total in the PLL this season.

Archer’s captain and midfielder Tom Schreiber led the way for his team. Schreiber tallied six points and two assists. He scored three goals and had a two-point goal as well. Waterdogs attackman Ethan Walker had his most productive game of the season by far. Walker recorded seven points on the day, including three 1-point goals and four assists.

It was a very entertaining game to watch as there was non-stop action throughout. The victory for the Archers today could prove to be extremely important as the end of the season rolls around. These teams meet again in the last week of the regular season. I am sure the Waterdogs will be out for revenge in the rematch.
